Cert Medication Assistant, P/T


Job Description

CoreCivic is currently seeking Certified Medication Assistants, PTwho have a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional setting. The Certified Medication Assistant, P/T performs and assists with a variety of basic patient care activities under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. This is a part-time positions that regularly works less than 30 hours per week.

The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements

1. Administer medication to inmates/residents under the direct supervision of the Health Services Administrator.

2. Obtain, monitor, record and report vital signs and patient's condition as needed.

3. Prepare patients for physical exams, procedures and treatments.

4. Assist nurse/physician with physical exams, procedures and treatments.

5. Assist nurse with preparing and maintaining a variety of reports and logs; to include filing, alphabetizing and labeling

QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED certification or equivalent or greater. Must possess a current certification from an approved formal nursing assistant program or equivalent program with written consent from corporate Director, Health Services and be CPR certified. Must possess appropriate certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs. A valid driver's license is required. Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 20 years of age. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
